When you invest in an RTT treatment with me you embark on an incredible journey of self-knowledge, understanding and the power to change.
I am often asked ‘What should I expect during an RTT treatment?’ so I have detailed below a step by step guide to what an RTT Treatment with me consists of.
RTT works with the subconscious mind, which is an extraordinary resource, it is like a vault or hard drive where everything we have ever experienced is kept, experiences that have shaped how we feel about life in general and why we react to certain things in particular.
Conscious, Subconscious Mind
You may wonder why our subconscious is not a part of our every day awareness. It is because our mind has decided what is important to us for our everyday operation.
Scientists believe our conscious mind is only 5% while 95% of our mind is subconscious!
This is necessary because with all the information, all the data we receive on a daily basis, the mind has to prioritise, and this priority is not usually a conscious choice!
Early on in our lives we learn to navigate with our conscious mind, however the conscious mind has limits – change requires more than willpower and logic. We need to connect to the subconscious mind and find out what is really driving our behaviour and this is what we do in our RTT session.

In the unlikely event that you can’t find a time that suits you because of your time zone or availability, please email me. Once you book your initial consultation appointment, you will be emailed a zoom link for our appointment.
Our 30 minute initial consultation is where we discuss what you would like to achieve from your RTT treatment and for me to find out a little bit more about you.
I ask you about your relationships with your family, now and in your childhood, what life was like for you growing up, how you found school and what life is like for you now. We also discuss your general health and any medical conditions you have.
It is not an in-depth conversation, it is just to give me an overview of your life so far. We do not need to go into too much detail because during the hypnosis session your brilliant mind will give us all the important information that we need. I do not ‘fix’ you with RTT – I facilitate you healing yourself, which is an amazing tool…
RTT empowers you to take control of your future! You also have the opportunity to ask me any questions you might have about our journey together.
Please remember that I need your completed intake form at least 12 hours before our appointment.
Two days or so (it doesn’t have to be exact!) after our initial consultation we will have our RTT session. We will do this over Zoom. I have created a document to help you prepare for your hypnosis session here.
This session will last about two hours but occasionally longer, so I ask you to allow at least three hours so that we are not rushed during the session, we can have a short chat about it afterwards and you are able to take time to reflect on your session.
Our RTT session will start with a quick chat where you can ask any questions you might have and then we will get straight into the hypnosis session.
People often ask what it is like to be hypnotised. It is just a state of deep relaxation. It can be compared to daydreaming, or when you are lost in a good book or movie, or when you’ve been driving a familiar route and don’t remember the last few minutes. You are aware of everything that is happening around you, you just tune out everything except what you are focusing on.
This heightened sense of focus gives your mind more control not less, despite what ‘stage hypnosis’ would have you believe! People worry whether they are going to be deep enough but in fact it doesn’t really matter how ‘deep’ you are!
During an RTT session, apart from the last 15 minutes or so, once you are in hypnosis, we will be talking to each other throughout the session. I will be asking you questions, you will be answering and we will be investigating the cause of your issue together.
Using this heightened sense of focus we bypass the critical chattering conscious mind and we can access beliefs formed many years ago.
This is done by going back to memories that are tied to the issue that we want to change.
I provide a safe space for you to go back into your past and together we investigate the cause, we interpret the beliefs you have created about yourself and I help you look at those beliefs in a different way so that you can overcome them and then we install more empowering, positive ones.
Even if some of those memories are traumatic you are not reliving them, you are reviewing them, a bit like watching a movie on a TV screen. It works by first giving you the understanding of how you got your issues and then freeing you from them for good.
Positive suggestions, like seeds, are planted in your subconscious mind and new beliefs are able to take root…
The day after your session I will send you a personalised recording (between 15 and 20 minutes long) via WhatsApp.
It is an essential part of the treatment that you listen to this recording at least once a day for a minimum of 21 days. I always advise my clients to keep listening to it even after the 21 days is up, until you feel you no longer need it.
The Recording
Many of my clients say they love listening to their recording and continue to do so for months afterwards.
This recording waters the seeds we planted in the hypnosis session and lays new neural pathways or connections between neurons in the brain and as these new pathways are strengthened, new behaviors become second nature.
You can listen to the recording as you drop off to sleep if you like, the subconscious mind is always listening, but you should be undisturbed so you are not distracted by noise and movement. You can listen to it more than once a day if you have time.
Some of my clients listen to their recording first thing in the morning to set them up for the day and then again as they are going to sleep. All I ask is that you listen to it at least once every day for a minimum of the first 21 days.
I will message you on WhatsApp the day after the session, to see how you feel after you have had time to reflect on the session (I will send you your personalised recording as well) and then again the following day to see how you found the recording.
After that will I contact you a week after the session and again the following week to check in on your progress and then once more after at least 21 days when we can discuss how you have found your treatment.
If at any time, particularly at the end you would prefer to have a phone call or Zoom meeting just let me know. I often find that by the end my clients are so happy they don’t need to talk to me. I do like to send a short closing questionnaire so I can document the progress you have made and I will also ask you for a testimonial. These testimonials really help other people decide whether RTT is right for them too.
